It's a prototyping board for developing the hardware and software of an embedded system.

It's not really comparable to the X16, which is a homage to the 8-bit home computers of the 1980s and comes with built-in sound and graphics chips, an SD card socket, an IEC interface for communicating with Commodore peripherals, etc.
